How long does it take to get my account set up? It can take anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours to get your account ready for you to use. This is due to the necessity of clearing your payment and performing necessary set-up and testing to make sure that your "move in" will run smoothly. Once we have set-up your account we will e-mail you with the information you need to begin transferring or developing your web site. Can I pay with a check or only with a credit card? During the payment process you will have the option of paying with a check. However, except under special circumstances, we can not set up your account, or reinstate a suspended account, until your check has cleared the bank. If you intend on paying with a check and want your account set up immediately, please e-mail us as soon as you have ordered. If you will be renewing your account with a check, you will have to complete your online check payment 10 DAYS prior to the expiration of your service in order to give sufficient time for the check to clear the bank. Do you offer a money back guarantee? Yes! If you are unhappy with our server reliability or speed, or our technical support within the first 30 days, we will happily refund your payment. We will NOT refund the portion of your payment that was used to purchase a domain name, set up your account, or costs incurred by us to process your credit card or check. In order to apply for a refund, you MUST contact Billing or complete our Refund Form within 30 days of ordering your hosting account. What will appear on my credit card statement? Your credit card statement will show a charge to 2CheckOut.com our merchant account processing system. Are there hard data transfer limits with any of the plans? No. While some hosting companies promise you unlimited data transfer and others restrict your accounts to a hard set limit, we have found it easier to have 'soft' data transfer limits. We can do this because many accounts use very little bandwidth which makes up for those who are more bandwidth intensive. We do monitor each account on a weekly basis to assure that no one is using more than a fair share of system resources. We set initial bandwidth limits based on the type of account you have purchased, but if it appears that you are getting close to capacity, we will, within reason, allocate additional bandwidth for your site. Should your site require more capacity than we feel a particular server can afford, we will contact you and allow you to purchase additional bandwidth, and move you to another server. This is a rare occurrence, however, but additional bandwidth can be purchased for $2 per gig per month. How do I point my domain to your servers? You need to go to the registrar where you purchased your domain and log into the area where you can manage or edit your domain information. What you will need to do is change the name servers to the DNS server names we will e-mail you when we create your account. Should you require any assistance in correctly changing your registrar DNS record, please contact our support team and we will be happy to assist you. Domain transfers usually take 24 to 48 hours to become active and it may take even longer for every DNS database around the world to be updated. If 48 hours have passed since you made the name server changes for your domain and you are still unable to access your site using your domain name, please go to Customer Support and open a Trouble Ticket If you order and set-up my domain name, do I own it? Yes! We register your domain with the information you provide us during the sign-up process. You will have full control over your domain name so you can move it or alter information to it at any time. You will also be responsible for any domain renewal fees after the first year. Do you offer telephone technical support? We offer telephone technical support for SERVER related emergencies and pre-sales ONLY from 7am-9pm EST Mon-Sat, and 1pm-9pm EST on Sunday. If it is NOT an emergency please complete a Trouble Ticket in the Customer Support Center. Our tech support staff checks for trouble tickets at least once an hour 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the event of an emergency, you may contact Technical Support at 317-908-1207. What kind of technical support can I receive? We only can PROMISE to provide you technical support with server related functions. However we will answer ANY web related questions as best we are able, and, at the very least, provide you with links to the 'experts' to obtain an answer to your question. In addition, we maintain user forums as well as technical support links for our customers where you will be able to find answers to any questions you might have concerning CGI scripts or any of our add-on software such as PhpNuke, PhpBB, etc. Do you provide support for FrontPage? We will support the server side of FrontPage - i.e., the FrontPage Server extensions. We do not usually provide technical support on authoring sites with FrontPage. While there are many questions we CAN answer, if you require support for FrontPage that goes beyond our expertise, we will refer you to www.microsoft.com
